The Suffix Machine! A SMARTBoard Literacy Activity
The suffix machine will have your students begging to do word work! There’s something so magical about sliding a base word into one side of the machine and having the word with a suffix come out the other side.
This file can be done whole group, but it would also work really well as a small-group literacy center rotation, with students doing one or two pages each day. There are also accompanying printables to hold everyone accountable, as well as a suffix rule page to use as a reference.
The suffixes included in this file are –ing, -ed, -er, and –est.
NOTE: You must have Smart Notebook or compatible software to open this file. If you do not have a SMARTBoard, chances are you will not be able to open the file. If you are unsure, please try downloading one of my free SMARTBoard products to see if your software is compatible.
