The first lesson of SMARTS Online is free for everyone to try! We are posting the first 4 lesson plans here and the corresponding worksheets are free to download at our website (smarts-ef.org).
If you like our lessons please check out our Kickstarter (www.bit.ly/smarts-ef). Any amount of funding will help us reach more students.
The entire 30 lesson executive function curriculum will cost around $100 for the general public. But through our Kickstarter we are offering licenses starting at $75.
The SMARTS curriculum gives teachers the tools to teach strategy use and promote self-awareness in their classrooms. Our evidence-based curriculum has been developed over the past ten years with the help of teachers and administrators in numerous pilot schools in the Greater Boston area. SMARTS provides over 30 lesson plans covering six key areas of executive function (goal setting, organizing, time management, thinking flexibly, remembering, and self-checking). SMARTS goes well beyond a traditional study skills program by fostering self-awareness and renewed self-esteem. Through SMARTS students will develop the self-understanding to know which strategies work best for them as well as why, where, when and how to use each strategy to complete their homework, plan long-term projects, and study for tests.
