This fun and engaging bundle of centers if designed to help students strengthen their phonemic and phonological awareness of the s-blend sounds. It is designed to help them hear and read words that contain sc/sk, sl, sm, sn, sp, st, and/or sl.

Pages8-14: S-Blend sound sort center. Students have s-blend sorting cards and picture cards. Students will name the picture, give the beginning sound of the word and up it with the s-blend sorting card that it belongs to.
Page15-16: Picture sort cut and paste. Students cut out pictures and glue them next to the sound that they begin with,
Page 17-19: Spin and Cover. (1) Students spin, say the sound they land on and cover the picture that begins with the same sound. (2) Students spin, say the sound they land on, find a word that begins with the sound, read and cover.
Page 20- 24- Name and Clip. Students name the picture and clip the sound that it begins with. (If you do not have clothespins, paper clips work or you could laminate and have students circle the sound).
Page 25-31: Real or Nonsense Word sort with recording sheet.
