~Social Stories are a great way to teach children important social skills that they may be struggling with. Social stories break down information into small, explicit steps so that children can more easily undertand what they should and should not do in a particular social situation.
Similar to the 3-5 version but with fewer words and simpler sentence structure, this is a social story about asking for help. The story discusses when one may need to ask for help and how to do it. There is a page at the end for students to write in their ideas about when they may need help, strategies they can use and who may be able to help them, making this story and interactive experience.
As with all of my products, I am more than happy to modify this story for you. Perhaps you would like a child's name in the story, or a photo, the name of the child's school, or teacher? Just contact me in the Q and A section and let me know what you would like!
