This is a social story for girls. I wrote this story for a very special student of mine. She did not have an awareness of "private" vs. "not-so-private" body parts and behaviors. This, of course, is a very important concept to understand. If you have a student who lacks an awareness of this concept, I hope this story is helpful to you.
The intent is to teach the difference between commonly thought of, private parts on a girls body, and commonly thought of, not-so-private parts on a girls body. This story does use the names of 2 private female body parts. The story also discusses when and where it may be acceptable to touch oneself and also WHO is allowed to touch you or look at you and when and where it may be acceptable. The story gives some suggestions for what to do if someone who should not be touching you, tries to touch you. The story has a page that allows you to write in who is allowed to look at or touch you and why.
