Have some real fun with your students as they follow three imaginary witches along in planning their Halloween Party! Students give Gizelda, Esmerelda, and Dapper some help with pumpkins, cooking, and decorating and, in the process, use logic to solve Halloween problems. Students also practice divisibility rules, identify prime and composite numbers, and discover number relationships and patterns. Problems are also a great review of math vocabulary!
18-page packet includes notes to the teacher, 5 different logic problems, and a key for the teacher. All problems use the 100-number board as an aid to finding a solution, and all problems are presented in two formats: Task Cards (ideal for individuals or Math Centers) and the original SOLVE IT format of problem/100-number grid on one page.
Use 1 page a day for a great opening activity or make them into a learning center! These problems are ideal for opening/bell ringer activities! They will keep students actively engaged while you accomplish routine organizational tasks. Students apply math skills, learn to recognize number patterns, and have fun in the process! Designed for middle grades 4-8
