Solve Systems of Linear Equations by Graphing

A system of equations is a set of two or more equations considered together. A solution to a system of equations in two variables is an ordered pair that is a solution to every equation in the system.

To solve a system of linear equations by graphing, one has to graph each of the equations on the same x-y plane and determine the common point of intersection of equations given. The solution to the system is the x value and y value at the point of intersection.
To test if this solution is correct, one has to simply plug in the solution to each equation to check whether the solution satisfies the system.

A system can have only one solution, no solution or infinitely many solutions as illustrated in this e-book.
