I created this NO PREP SPANISH Differentiated Daily Reading Responses pack because although I teach second grade, every year I have students reading on a wide range of levels (sometimes K-3rd grade levels). To meet my students’ needs, I provide them with books at their reading level. I also have students self-select books from our take-home leveled library. If we are going to differentiate for students by providing them with books on their individual reading level, we also need to provide them with follow-up activities to help them interact and engage with that text. These tasks should be appropriate for what they can do independently.

Enter my SPANISH NO PREP Differentiated Daily Reading Responses! Students complete a different task each day using the same book. This offers students several opportunities to interact with the text, each day with a different purpose/focus. My students complete one section for homework each night. As students read the same book each night, they’re improving their fluency and comprehension. The tasks increase in difficulty as students’ levels increase. Students are excited when they move up a level and receive a new reading response sheet!

These SPANISH Differentiated Daily Reading Responses can be used for first grade through struggling fourth grade students.

I have included options to support students including sentence starters, mini graphic organizers, draw instead of write tasks, sentence stems, sentence frames, and handwriting support. This way, students have everything they need to complete the tasks independently and feel successful!

There are fiction and nonfiction versions. These sheets are versatile and NO-PREP! Use them with any fiction and nonfiction books!
