WALK AND TALK AND TELL THE TIME IN SPANISH - 2 GAMES, 2 CHALLENGES!
I HAVE, WHO HAS? is a great language learning game. The repetitive nature of the questions and answers, supported by the visual prompt of the clock faces, makes it perfect for practicing, reinforcing & refreshing how to TELL THE TIME IN SPANISH!.
It’s a whole-group communicative game, with a multi-skill focus on speaking, listening, reading, vocabulary-building and developing accurate pronunciation. The game really does help to create a lively language learning environment, and is a great alternative to more traditional 'drilling' activities.
This set features analog clock times, 1-12, including midday and midnight, with o'clock, half past, a quarter to and a quarter past the hour. I've classed the resource as suitable for Grades 3-7, but it really does depend on the age at which your students begin their SPANISH, and what areas of learning they might need to focus on at particular times during the school year. The games work really well for homeschooling too - simply change the SPANISH phrases to: Aquí está... Dónde está...?
There are two games, each with a different challenge:
CHILLOUT CHALLENGE with the clock times in numerical order
CHAMPION CHALLENGE with the clock times in topsy-turvy order - this really
does encourage your students to focus on their SPANISH clock times!
When they have created their time lines, preferably using a timer for a little competitive edge, have them read the times out in their best SPANISH accent
for some additional reinforcement and pronunciation practice!
SETS 1, 2 and 3, featuring every analog clock time in SPANISH is also available as a combined resource at the special price of $5.00 - have a look at it here when you get chance:
