All of my students with special needs are included in the general education classrooms. Sometimes the work of the classroom is too difficult or inaccessible for my students, so I've created these modified work binders for them to work on IEP goals in a fun, interactive, and accessible way. These activities can be used with pre-writers as they are meant to utilize velcro pictures, magnet letters, and/or letter tiles- be creative!
My students' independence has grown through using these modified work binders. They don't need to sit and struggle on work that is above their level. Through observation I can check in on how they are progressing towards IEP goals in areas like alphabet knowledge, number order, name spelling, calendar tasks, making patterns, sorting, categorizing, etc. My students love these interactive binders because they don't have to be bogged down by writing on worksheets which can sometimes be really frustrating for them.
I hope your little ones enjoy this Morning Work Binder. Stay tuned for other more specific binders in areas of Sorting, Number Sense, Money, Calendar, etc.!
