“Candy Land” game is commonly found in most speech therapy settings. These Candyland cards are designed to help students practice prepositional concepts, behind and in front of while playing the game of Candy land. This card set would be used in place of the original Candy Land game cards. They are look-alike cards with either one square or two in a variety of colors with pictured action scenes super imposed on the squares. Students are asked to verbally produce a sentence based upon the scene on the card using the correct preposition each time they take their turn while playing the game. (Example: If the student picks a card that has a red apple in front of a box and a red apple behind a box, he/she might say, “The apple is in front of / behond the box.” This download includes 72 different pictured scenes. The cards also include the 6 special cards that go with the game board. Different special cards have been included so you can choose the ones that go with your game board (new or older versions). A title sheet is also included and can be used as a label for the Ziploc bag that the cards can be stored in. This game can be used in group or individual instruction with non-readers.
