This MY SCHOOL Booklet with Photo Template is a great "back to school" activity that is recommended for students K-2 with special needs (autism, down syndrome, speech/language impaired, cerebral palsy, etc.) It is helpful for children who are visual learners, since the words have a picture representation (Boardmaker format).
It is a great and fun way to encourage and strengthen expressive speech.
This is a customizable booklet with a school theme. It requires you to take pictures of the child, school, teacher, classroom and classmates and adhere them to the pages.
The booklet itself has 8 pages:

"I am ____ years old."
"I am in ____ grade." (or Kindergarten)
"This is my teacher, ____" with photo of teacher template.
"This is my classroom" with photo of classroom.

In addition to the "My School" (8 page) booklet, this packet includes a cover page, preparation page and a credits page.
You will need:
Photographs (4" x 6") of child, school, teacher, classroom, classmates (together).
Paper, 8.5”X11” size printer paper or cardstock. White.
Adhesive (glue or two-sided tape)
You will also need a camera or smart phone to take pictures.
