MY SCHOOL Photo Booklet with Boardmaker sentences (autism)
PLACES AT MY SCHOOL Booklet with Photo Template is a great "back to school" activity that is recommended for students K-2 with special needs (autism, down syndrome, speech/language impaired, cerebral palsy, etc.) It is helpful for children who are visual learners, since the words have a picture representation (Boardmaker format).
It is a great and fun way to encourage and strengthen expressive speech and talk about places in the school (school, classroom, library, computer lab, cafeteria, playground, school bus)
This is a customizable booklet with a school theme. It requires you to take pictures of the school, classroom, library, computer lab, cafeteria, playground, school bus and adhere them to the pages.
The booklet itself has 9 pages:

In addition to the "Places At My School" (9 page) booklet, this packet includes a cover page, preparation page and a credits page.
You will need:
Photos 4” x 6” of school, classroom, playground, cafeteria, library, computer lab, and school bus.
Velcro (fuzzy and scratchy side)
Print out packet activity pages.
Laminate activity pages. Laminate the photos.
Adhere Velcro (fuzzy side) in the middle of each photo template square.
Adhere Velcro (scratchy side) on the back of each photograph.
Attach photos (school, classroom, playground, cafeteria, library, computer lab, school bus ) to specified areas in booklet via the Velcro.
Collate and secure them together with staple, spiral binding, or book ring. (whichever you prefer.)
