PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This package includes 5 sets of CARD GAMES with 13 matching pairs in each set plus one DONKEY card.

Sets 1 & 2 - 26 Unusual plural pairs (e.g., thief/thieves, mouse/mice)
Sets 3 & 4 - 26 Contraction pairs (most common ones)
Set 5 - 13 pairs Adding y to make an adjective (e.g., luck/lucky, stick/sticky)

Up to 4 players can play and the aim of the game is to avoid being left with the DONKEY card. You could add two similar packs together if you want to play with more than 4. The game format exposes students to these sometimes difficult elements of vocabulary in a fun way.

This is a quick game to begin or end an intervention session, or you can extend it with the first player having the DONKEY card taking the D the first time they get left with this card, then DO when they get it the second time. The first player to reach the Y is the DONKEY. This suits older players and prolongs the enjoyment when you have more time.

You can also mix ability groups by modifying the game rules by having all pairs put into the middle and all players saying the words on the cards as each player has their turn.

I have used a DYSLEXIA FRIENDLY FONT to be inclusive of all learners.
