This project works with a World History classroom that uses the SPRITE acronym for studying the commonalities and differences among civilizations (Social Structures, Political Structures, Religion, Intellectual, Technology, Economics). However, this project can be modified for classrooms that use different acronyms like GRAPES
For this project, students will be required to pick a movie, television show, or video game and apply the elements of SPRITE to their chosen media. Students will enjoy picking a media that they enjoy and seeing how the SPRITE acronym applies. Included in this project is a link to a 35-slide Google Slide presentation with notes and examples on SPRITE; as well as a further explanation on this project (link found at the end of the project handout).
