Editing and revising passages strategy bookmark. I created this so students would have a step by step routine when approaching these questions. TEASE
T Stands for TENSE. Students need to determine the verb tense of the overall passage to ensure their answers coincide with the other verbs.
E Stands for the student reading each question and identifying what sentence number or sentence numbers the question is focusing on. The students need to circle the sentence number in the question then go back to the passage and underline the sentence. So when the students do read they already know which sentences are going to be referred back to in their questions.
A Stands for All Subjects and Predicates need to be labeled in the underlined sentences only.
S Stands for separating contractions with apostrophes and checking possessive nouns with apostrophes in all underlined sentences and answer choices
E Stands for identifying and writing the GRAMMAR RULE for each answer choice selected.
TEAS are strategies we use before the student reads the passage and before the student answers the questions, and the E is for after the student answers and reads the passage to support their work.
