Are you having trouble getting students to understand expository? Here's a pack of everything you need to master the essay!
I have a study guide that list key steps on how to write an expository essay written in student-friendly language. It also includes a rubric that has simplified language, but is very similar to the official STAAR rubrics. I also included a short edit expository worksheet that can be done independently or with a peer. I also included a list of expository transition words. Also, on the TEA website, I use the released scored essays and I cut off the grader's commentary and place 12 questions there. The questions align with the rubric that is included. The TEA scored essays are not included, but the questions can work with any essay.
