An interactive approach to dissecting the STAAR Expository Rubric for English I EOC.
Students will work in groups or pairs and receive a set of task cards. (See page 5--make sure they are shuffled before handing to students!) Instruct students to sort cards into four piles and rank them from best to worst.
I will have my students copy down the bold and underlined terms onto a foldable to keep in their interactive student notebook (ISN.)
**NOTE: I did not create the "student friendly" STAAR Expository Rubric. I am only responsible for turning the information into a creative activity for my students.
