GREAT FOR STAAR PRACTICE. This activity reviews physical science terms in a critical thinking format and fits Blooms Taxonomy, Level 4 on Analysis. Students are given four terms, three fit one physical science term and one does not. Students decide which one does not fit and put that term on their answer sheet, along with the reason why. Good for all students, but very good for gifted and talented students.
Terms such as conductor, insulator, solid, liquid, gas, mixture, solution are described. Science tools are also included.
Can be used as a SCOOT game, a SCIENCE center, or just used by teacher on document camera. Good assessment tool.
Example: aluminum, copper, wood, iron (Odd one out is "wood") It is not a conductor, or metal.
