This is a mnemonic device that works well to remind students of what to include when writing an expository essay. We have worked long and hard on developing a deep, not shallow paragraph. In creating a well developed paragraph, I have given the students a framework (not a formula) for knowing what to write. We have used with great success - Who, What, Why, How, Fact, Memory, Opinion. The mnemonic device provided in this resource, incorporates those important words which the students have faithfully memorized to help them on the day of the STAAR test, and really to help them as they continue to become successful writers.
