This puzzle is designed to be laminated and cut apart into puzzle pieces that students sort and/or match up. They are best stored in a manila folder, and pulled out when students are struggling with understanding how to add protons and neutrons in order to determine the mass of an atom.
This puzzle is designed to help students with TEXAS 8th grade science TEK 8.5A regarding atomic structure of atoms.
Instructions are on the puzzle's title piece, and an answer key is provided so they can check their own work when finished. These puzzles have been very effective with our students mastering the Texas TEKS for the Science STAAR test - and students have fun reviewing with puzzles instead of worksheets. My students have even told me these puzzles are FUN!
