This puzzle is designed to be laminated and cut apart into puzzle pieces that students sort and/or match up. They are best stored in a manila folder, and pulled out when students are struggling with differentiating between metals, nonmetals, and metalloids on the periodic table.
This puzzle is designed to help students with TEXAS 6th grade science TEK 6.6A - compare metals, nonmetals, and metalloids using physical properties such as luster, conductivity, and malleability.
Instructions are on the puzzle's title piece, and an answer key is provided so they can check their own work when finished. These puzzles have been very effective with our students mastering the Texas TEKS for the Science STAAR test - and students have fun reviewing with puzzles instead of worksheets. My students have even told me these puzzles are FUN!
