This is an activity where students can create a star chart for only those constellations in the direction North. This is a creation by the author. It has the distinction of NOT having to hold a star chart overhead. This unique star chart is used by holding it outward when the student is facing North along the horizon. The chart has the ability to have the star wheel attached for any latitude in the continental US. The star wheel can be spun so that the chart is usable all year long during early evening. Once assembled, this star chart can be used with 10 other activities with the general title of STARS IN THE NORTH that are available by Michael Ryan, the author.
