Star Wars is all the rage in my classroom right now, so I used this fun game to review double digit multiplication, while also keeping my students engaged!
Included in here are 35+ cards, a student worksheet, and answer key.
*Arrange desks/tables however works best for you. Many teachers move them into a circle, or a large rectangular perimeter.
*Be sure to leave space behind each desk… your students will be MOVING!
*You can keep your desks set up as they are currently, just be sure your students know which direction to move
*Set a ‘scoot’ card on each desk in number order
*Students will start at their own desk
*They will copy the problem on their worksheet and work to find the corresponding answer
*Direct students to mark the answer in the correct box. Only one person starts on number one.
*After 30 seconds (or however long you see fit) yell ‘SCOOT!’ Children rotate in the same direction, going to the next desk/card
*Scoot is over when the students have returned to their desk
*Some cards have activities on them rather than math problems,
they complete the task given and just wait for the next ‘scoot’ rotation. I've also updated this product to include extra problems in lieu of the activities in order to minimize distractions.
*These could also be used as task cards, a small group station,
or even a math scavenger hunt!
