STAR WARS FOR RHYTHM BAND
Product Description
Rhythm band accompaniment for the Star Wars Main Theme, is composed for hand drums, triangles, gong, and diatonic or chromatic bell sets.
A study page about triplets is included. Rhythm parts include triplets, whole notes & rests, quarter notes and rests, and paired eighth notes.
Meter signature is 4/4, changing briefly to 2/4 & 3/4.
This is written on SMART Notebook for use with a SmartBoard. For individual pages, see “star wars rhythms 2.pptx.”
The accompaniment music I used is the “Main Theme from Star Wars conducted by John Williams,” found on YouTube. The rhythm accompaniment ends at 3:14 into the piece. However, at least in the beginning, I chose to end just before the music went into ¾ time.
Terminology: 1st & 2nd endings; repeat signs; rit.; introduction; glissando symbol, d.s. al coda, del segno symbol, coda.
