DO YOU WANT TO HAVE A SNOW DAY?
We all wish for that announcement, even though we know a day out of school really messes with instructional progress. If it happens or even if it doesn’t, consider having a set of handouts ready to keep the skills going!
When the temperatures drop, this set of handouts will engage your students and help them practice working with statistical concepts.
FIVE activities that include
Interpreting a box plot (with riddle)
Finding missing data given mean, median or range (with riddle / higher order thinking)
Identifying aspects of data (maze)
Logic Puzzle (finding the value of three symbols - pre-linear systems skill)
Cartesian graph puzzle (because it’s always fun to practice plotting points and to be creative).
Use it as handout that stays in the backpack to be done when/if there is a SnowDay.
