STEM the Beak : An Engineering Energizer and
STEM Engineering Challenge.
Can your students engineer a bird beak? Challenge your student to design and create various bird beaks that can capture different food sources. The activity is set up for group collaboration on beak designs. The students will use their beaks in eight different centers representing food types. Structural and material engineering is emphasized. Student handouts, an engineering design process poster, and teacher notes included.
