Need an Engineering Activity?
What’s in Your Cupboard?
Need a STEM lesson RIGHT NOW? No time to gather materials? For this lesson the main material is toothpicks. Students will use the engineering design process and build a structure with a triangular base. Students will also need play dough to connect the toothpicks.
Students will use their problem solving and collaboration skills as they work to solve the challenge. Simple plans and simple materials, but a great hands-on STEM activity! Packet includes student handouts, teacher notes, a reflection page, a rubric, role cards, inquiry questions, and the engineering design process poster.
