Description
These 24 open-ended STEM task cards are designed to be used with ANY building materials. Students can use the prompts on the open-ended cards to create and make the suggested ideas out of almost ANY building material. It's time to get creative!
The building ideas on these STEM task cards have been left purposefully vague to allow students to use their imaginations and create/design with whatever materials you have available. Here are some materials that could work:
- Clean recycling and adhesives (like glue or tape!)
- Magnetic tiles
- Index cards and tape
- Pipe cleaners
- Building blocks
- Play Dough
- Sand
I set these cards up in an open-ended maker space style station to help students who might be 'stuck' on what to build or create. These provide a nice starting off point for the creative process!
