Description

Solar System STEM Challenge:

This is a STEM PBL activity that I do with may class every year. Students coming into my room very rarely have any concept of how vast the solar system really is. The activity starts out by allowing the students to create a representation of the solar system based on their prior knowledge. The students then begin to gather facts about the size of the planets diameter and distance from the sun. The activity culminates with the students measuring and constructing a proportional model of the solar system.
