This candy machine STEM challenge will encourage students to think like engineers while they design and build their own candy machines. Students will view six different candy machines in a power point slide to begin the lesson. They will then be given a list of materials in which they will be able to build their own candy machine. Students will then be responsible for sketching, planning, building and testing a candy machine with their groups. This is a great activity to also encourage team work, cooperation and communication between peers. The final part of the activity includes a reflective piece for both their design and team work. This is a great activity to do around the holidays, after testing or on a Friday afternoon!
