The Egg-ceptional Packaging Egg Drop STEM Challenge is sure to provide lasting memories for your students as a fun Easter, spring break, back to school, end of school, or anytime it is warm outside activity! Plus, this activity incorporates critical thinking, collaboration, drawing, measurement, and scientific engineering skills!
This product presents a scenario to the students where the boss of the Egg-ceptional Packaging Company is needing scientists to design an egg package that would protect an egg from leaking or cracking when dropped from a set of bleachers. The students are given a materials list of common household items that they may use in the process of developing their prototype. Students complete the STEM Design Steps throughout this process and eventually will test their prototypes and analyze ways for improvement. Students can compete against each other in a friendly competition to see whose egg-ceptional package will drop the fastest without causing the egg to crack or leak. Who will be crowned the Egg-ceptional Packaging Champion in your class?
