Anxious to try a STEM challenge but worried about time? Students will use ratios, unit rates, graphs, equations and constant of proportionality as they prepare to complete this STEM challenge. After the challenge, they will analyze the results using mean, median and range. This resource gives your class a chance to do a short (about 15 minutes) STEM challenge, and then analyze the class data. Then, your class will complete the same STEM challenge a second time, comparing the data sets.
With this resource, you'll be able to "focus on the M in STEM"!
Resource also includes a poster of the engineering design process (color and black/white) as well as a letter to send home asking for supply donations.
Note: Answer keys have been provided when possible. No answer keys are available for student-generated data.
