Product Description
Looking for a lesson that naturally integrates engineering off of science? This is the lesson for you. In this lesson, students first learn about a catapult and how it works. Using marshmallows, craft sticks, and rubber bands, they build a catapult. Students then have to become engineers to use the design process known as SCAMPER to brainstorm how they might change their design in order to get the marshmallow to fly farther. Included in this lesson are opportunities for students to write, analyze data using statistics, along with just plain having fun!
