Want a school wide engineering event that will excite students and teachers? Challenge your student’s engineering skills as they design and construct impact resistant containers that allow an egg to survive being dropped from the roof of the school. Will they be successful in protecting the egg or will all the king’s horses and all the king’s men have scrambled eggs for breakfast?
Obviously, Humpty Dumpty won’t be much help for this event!
Included: student lesson handouts, parent letter, teacher notes, and assessment.
Note: We did this as a school wide event for grades K-6, but it is equally fun to just do it with your own class. Some of our primary students worked with their older buddies and some K classes completed one or two devices as a group discussion activity with their teacher.
