This Easter STEM project asks students to help the Easter Bunny with a big problem he's having... When he hops continually, the eggs fall out and break! So their challenge is to build a basket that when it falls the eggs don't break!
Included in this STEM project are a variety of planning printables for students to use. There is a cover provided for all their work; this will make a great portfolio piece! Students have to stick within a "budget" of materials; each material they can use has a set amount given. The materials used are common and readily accessible. A letter to families is provided to ask for donations.
Your students will have fun testing their baskets to see if their eggs break; I suggest using plastic eggs filled with something! This project can be done individually or in groups.
