Learn about the engineering design process and the science of flight with “STEM Engineering Design Challenge- Alien Airlines”.
In this activity students will work through the engineering design process, utilize teamwork, communication, creative thinking and problem solving skills while learning about the science of flight and how the concepts of thrust, drag, lift and weight/gravity can be used to design a paper airplane.
The alien’s spacecraft has crashed on Earth and while it is being repaired they want to take a tropical vacation. Your challenge is to design a plane to carry them to their destination.
