Fidget toys are tools that can help students focus, pay attention and stay on the task at hand. These tools are considered self-regulating. One common example you have seen is a stress ball. These toys promote movement and allow students to occupy their hands. This STEM project allows students to create their own fidget spinners to test on their classmates. While they work through the process, they will need to collect data, design a prototype, collect information from classmates and make revisions. The final design will require students to estimate costs and profits that can earned from mass producing this project. Students will then create a digital advertisement to show off their work.
