Primarily aimed for teachers of students in grades kindergarten through second, “STEM For Young Learners: Dough” presents jam-packed projects for budding scientists, mathematicians and engineers. These activities help you make and create wonderful classroom experiences. Using the theme of dough as a springboard, a breads of the world table as a language art and technology component and the maker movement for inspiration, students will build cross-curricular connections as they explore STEM – science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The projects and lessons provide enjoyable learning experiences in a variety of environments: a traditional classroom, home schooling, ESL classes, gifted and talented programs, after-school programs and extracurricular clubs. The arts are incorporated in the lessons and add STEAM to the activities that encourage creative and inventive thinking skills as learners build knowledge.
