There are 4 jumpstart challenges in this packet. These are fun ways to get your students into STEM and practice problem-solving and team work. The challenges include rules, materials and time frames. Students will: design a catapult that must hit a target or have a marshmallow land in a cup, design an airplane that loops the most times before hitting the ground, design a sculpture that is kinetic and is 6 inches high with at least 2 moving parts and create the tallest index card tower that holds an object.
