This is an 8 slide PowerPoint lesson with the Essential Question "How are animals classified?" There are 6 printable graphic organizer pennants on 3 pages. Students will draw and label an animal from each classification, (mammal, bird, reptile, amphibian, fish and arthropod) list the characteristics, determine the skeletal make-up (vertebrate or invertebrate) and research a fun fact for the animal they choose. Each triangular pennant is 61/2" wide at the top and 81/2" on the sides.
