This week long project is always a highlight of my students' year. They design, build, describe, and play a mini golf course right in the classroom! My students dubbed this course the "Mini-Mini" course because it is built on shoebox lids. Students are required to put their knowledge of geometry and measurement to use as they design a blueprint for a putt-putt hole. They build the hole, then write a description in the style of a golf announcer using mathematical vocabulary. Finally, the kids get to play the course!
Check out the preview for some photos of golf courses created by my students!
