Science - Work it Out
You are a strength trainer creating a full body workout for a middle school gym class. You will use your newly found knowledge of the different types of exercise and how they affect both the body and mind. After creating the workout, you will have to do the workout yourself and create some form of deliverable to present the workout.
Technology/Art - Shopping Spree App Design
You are an App Developer who has been hired to design an app that will recreate your shopping spree experience from your previous project “Shopping Spree (Part 1)”. You will use your list of items that you “bought”, organize them into categories, and create an e-commerce (shopping) like experience that would allow anyone on your app to view and purchase those same Items. You will be using Google Slides to create the app and learn how to incorporate link features to create an interactive experience.
Engineering - Geodesic Dome
You are a Civil Engineer hired to construct a Geodesic Dome. Geodesic Domes are known as the lightest, most efficient means of enclosing space due to its ability to distribute weight throughout its structure. They are used most commonly on playgrounds, for greenhouses, and even for homes. You will get to choose which purpose you want your dome to serve, construct your very own, and test how much weight it can actually hold!
Math - Shopping Spree
Congratulations, you just won a $5,000 shopping spree!! You have 3 hours to buy anything you want, AND.. everything is on sale!! You cannot spend more than $5,000 and you must keep a detailed record of everything you buy including costs, discounts, taxes, and totals. You will have to do all of your shopping completely online. You can buy anything from clothes, shoes, games, and electronics to tickets or sporting events, concerts, shows, amusement parks or even buy yourself a new bike or your family a thoughtful gift.
Business - Shark Tank
Today you are an entrepreneur Preparing to go on Shark Tank and pitch your new product to the Sharks. You need to create a unique product and a business proposal (Pitch) that will persuade the Sharks to invest in your business. As you create your project, think about the episode clips of Shark Tank from the previous pages. What products did the sharks invest in? What products did the sharks reject? Why? Keep that in mind as you plan.
