Time for a Soccer STEM Challenge! Students will build a soccer goal and goalie to block those kicks! You have the option of restricting the movement of the goalie to make this fabulous STEM project more challenging.

What is the challenge?
Design and build a soccer goal and a movable goalie that will attempt to block shots.
- The goal will have to be a specific size in order to use the soccer ball (which is a ping pong ball).
- The goalie will have to be able to fit in the goal and move from side to side using an attachment.
- Each group will divide into the goal and goalie teams and then combine their structures to test and improve.
- Finally, students will really enjoy being the goalie and trying to block those shots!
What is your prep?
You will need supplies in addition to this package. This includes Straws, Pipe cleaners, Netting, Ping pong balls, Craft sticks, Card stock, Rubber bands, String,
and Masking tape.
