Many teachers are using team challenges to build relationships in the classroom. These planning sheets are to be used with a Spaghetti and Marshmallow Tower activity. "Who can build the highest tower?" You can also fit this into your study of landforms and call the tower "a mountain."
The price and planning sheets require groups to use real-world strategies involving money and engineering for problem solving.
One sheet is labeled TOWERS and the other is MOUNTAIN LANDFORM.
Give each group a set amount of coins or bills (perhaps $3.00, you can choose). Groups use this money to "purchase" supplies needed for the activity.
