This resource is a great way to introduce STEM to your students!

I used this on day one with students. This challenge can be hard and frustrating for some students depending upon grade level, so remember to have a conversation with them that not everything is going to work! Engineers are problem solvers. If something doesn't work, they try something else!

I then paired this with the other STEM Tower Challenge I have listed in my store (Index Card Tower challenge). That challenge I did on the second day because it was easier and more students were able to complete the task with less frustration (I teach 3rd grade).

This resource is great about practicing teamwork skills as well as problem solving!

Materials You Will Need:

1. Enough spaghetti noodles for groups (20 noodles per group: I recommend group sizes of 2 or 3 students)

2. One regular size marshmallow per group

3. 2 feet of string per group (you can also use yarn)

4. 2 feet of tape per group
