STEM Engineering Challenge with Gumdrops
We love to integrate engineering into other subjects. In this STEM lesson we have combined it with math and …and some sweet materials. Perfect for a review session on geometric shapes and it only uses two materials – toothpicks and gumdrops. Choose gum drop colors to correspond with the festivities and you have a fun holiday activity that can keep the learning on target and the kids on task.
Includes teacher notes and student worksheets, a rubric, job cards, and inquiry questions.
Need some more STEM ideas for winter? How about a fun snowball launcher to review simple machines as well as force and motion. If the kids measure their launch and collect data, you will have some math review too!
