Get Caught Engineering a Monster Trap!
Your students’ engineering skills and knowledge of simple machines are needed to build a monster trap. The local monsters have been causing all kinds of problems in the neighborhood. Their trap needs to use at least one simple machine. Since monsters are very clever, the trap will have to be able to be triggered when they are not looking! This Halloween engineering packet includes student handouts, a rubric, student role cards, an engineering design poster, and teacher notes. Using simple materials we have integrated engineering into a fun activity that promotes problem solving and collaboration.
*Note: If you purchased our Leprechaun Trap activity you already have this lesson. We adapted it for Halloween
