Three part assessment. A periodic table is provided.
-Student is given a group and period (i.e. Group 2, Period 2) and is asked to identify the corresponding element as metal, nonmetal, metalloid. Student uses a periodic table.
-Characteristics of an element sample are given (i.e. dimly lights a lightbulb) and the student is asked to select whether the element could be a) metal, b) nonmetal, c) metalloid, d) metal or nonmetal, etc.
-Student is asked to name the characteristics of metals, nonmetals, and metalloids (in list form).
