Steve Jobs, founder of Apple, is famous for many things- including his 2005 Stanford University Commencement Address. The speech is filled with many inspirational and thought provoking quotes that are perfect for student discussion.
Students will simply cut and paste the template to form their cube. Then, simply roll the cube to select one of Jobs' quotes. Once they have selected their quote, students may begin a discussion with peers on the meaning behind it or may begin a written analysis of the quote using the iPhone themed template.
This activity is a great resource for Socratic Circles. Students can use the cube to begin a Socratic Circle Discussion. The inner circle discusses the quote rolled as the outer circle takes notes on the template- A PERFECT activity for a formal observation!
